Big names in Greek shipping have been recently investing significant funds in new-built and second-hand bulk carriers, urging other small and medium sized companies to do so, ultimately causing a domino effect in the market.
“The strategies of large/traditional shipowners usually have an impact on medium and small shipowners, who tend to adopt them or at least give them serious consideration,” broker Mohamed Rabie noted in the latest weekly report by freight brokerage Intermodal.
