Η επική ταινία έρχεται στους κινηματογράφους στις 14 Νοεμβρίου
Όταν κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο τρέιλερ της νέας ταινίας του Ρίντλεϊ Σκοτ «Ο Μονομάχος 2»πολλοί ήταν εκείνοι που πίστεψαν ότι η ταινία θα είναι μια απογοήτευση τονίζοντας χαρακτηριστικά ότι ένα αρκετά καλό τρέιλερ συνοδεύεται από μια μουσική που δεν ταιριάζει καθόλου.
Ωστόσο, οι πρώτες εντυπώσεις της ταινίας έχουν κυκλοφορήσει στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης μετά την πρεμιέρα της στο Λος Άντζελες και είναι διθυραμβικές, με τους κριτικούς να εκστασιάζονται με το σίκουελ και τις ερμηνείες του καστ.
Ο Erik Anderson του Awards Watch γράφει: «To “GLADIATOR II” είναι ένα πραγματικό έπος και η καλύτερη ταινία του Ridley Scott εδώ και χρόνια. Ο Πολ Μέσκαλ είναι ένας σταρ της δράσης, ένας άξιος διάδοχος του θρόνου».
Η συγγραφέας Shanelle Genai έγραψε στο Twitter: «Δεν νομίζω ότι το διαπιστώσατε… To #GladiatorII ίσως είναι η καλύτερη ταινία της χρονιάς».
